2018 Volkswagen Atlas Weekend Edition Features and Accessories
Volkswagen’s all-new seven-passenger Atlas SUV will be available this spring and it was designed to be a modern day family vehicle, ready for whatever adventure is thrown its way. At the Chicago Auto Show, Volkswagen will demonstrate how the all-new Atlas can be enhanced with smart accessories in a new concept, the Atlas Weekend Edition. The Weekend Edition will integrate several available accessories to enhance the SUV’s versatility with innovative cargo solutions.

The Atlas Weekend Edition will be based on an SEL Premium model, equipped with a 3.6-liter VR6 engine producing 276 horsepower and an eight-speed transmission, paired with Volkswagen’s advanced 4Motion all-wheel drive with Drive Mode Select. The Weekend Edition will feature a modern variation of the pop-up roof. When it is empty, the Urban Loader cargo box offers a sleek, minimized appearance and when needed for hauling, it can expand to a 17.7 cubic-foot container. The Weekend Edition will also feature base carrier bars for attaching accessories for skis, snowboards, kayaks or bikes. There will also be practical side steps for easy reach of the roof storage.
Atlas Weekend Edition Interior Features
On the inside, there is a cargo divider to provide a safe and pet-friendly barrier behind the second row, which lets pets ride in comfort. The second row also features a universal tablet mount that allows passengers to bring their tablet along for a getaway or a long drive. Other Volkswagen accessories built into the Atlas Weekend Edition concept include window and hood deflectors, a heavy-duty truck liner with seat-back coverage, a privacy cargo cover, all-weather rubber mats, splashguards, and wheel locks.

The 2018 Volkswagen Atlas will be available to customers in spring of 2017 and many of these accessories will be available from Volkswagen dealers when the Atlas goes on sale.
