Volkswagen’s New Shark Week “Land of Sharks” Campaign
In its sixth year as a sponsor of Discovery Channel’s Shark Week, Volkswagen teamed with the network to introduce Land of Sharks, a unique view at oceans of the past with a cross country journey in the all-new 2018 Volkswagen Atlas. The Land of Shark campaign includes a short video series to tell the story of a family on a road trip in a Volkswagen Atlas as they travel to various locations to learn about prehistoric sharks that once swam there. When will the Volkswagen I.D. Begin Production?
Volkswagen premiered its new I.D. electric car that will be able to cover a distance of 249 to 373 miles on a single battery charge. The VW I.D. will begin production in 2020 and will be sold at a price that is similar to the comparably powerful and well-equipped Golf models. Volkswagen is also looking further ahead for the electric concept car by developing an I.D. Pilot mode where it will be capable of fully automated driving, a technology that should be ready for production by 2025. (more…)
VW BUDD-e Concept Mircobus
The Volkswagen BUDD-e named the 2016 Concept Truck of the Year at the 15th Annual North American Concept Vehicle of the Year Awards, because judges recognized the all-electric microbus concept for raising the standards of automotive design, with features that address both the utility and mobility needs of the present and future. The BUDD-e beat out three other finalists in the “Concept Truck” category which assessed vehicles with the primary attributes of user-configurable cargo volume and weight capacity. (more…)
