2020 Atlas Cross Sport Cargo Space and Standard Features
The 2020 Atlas Cross Sport is the all-new addition to the Volkswagen lineup. It’s sportier and bigger than the Tiguan, but not quite as large as the 2020 Atlas. It also features no three-row option. Typically, that indicates more available cargo space, as shown by the large difference in space between the two-row and three-row versions of the 2020 Tiguan.
So, how big is the 2020 Volkswagen Atlas Cross Sport cargo bay?
Cargo Space Dimensions
The 2020 Atlas Cross Sport comes only in a two-row configuration, unlike the 2020 Atlas and 2020 Tiguan. Behind the second row, there is 40.0 cu-ft to work with. Fold down those rear 60/40-split seats, though, and you almost double that space. Behind the first row, there’s a whopping 77.8 cu-ft. For comparison, the class-leading 2020 Atlas has 20.6 cu-ft, 55.5 cu-ft, and 96.8 cu-ft of space behinds its rows. The two-row 2020 Tiguan has 37.6 cu-ft and 73.5 cu-ft of space. These dimensions, combined with the performance prowess of the Atlas Cross Sport, make for an attractive package for small on-the-go families, couples, or single adults.
Standard Features by Trim
The 2020 Atlas Cross Sport comes in four main trims: S, SE, SEL, SEL Premium. The SE trims gets proximity keyless entry, push-button ignition, an 8.0-inch touchscreen, heated front seats, and a power liftgate. The SE Technology package adds remote start, adaptive cruise control, and parking sensors. New features for the SEL include adaptive headlights, a Digital Cockpit gauge cluster, integrated navigation, and a panoramic sunroof. The SEL Premium tops out the lineup with power-folding mirrors, a premium Fender Audio system, leather upholstery, and heated/ventilated front seats.
