Here at Hall Volkswagen near Milwaukee, we’re excited to announce that we now have the all-new 2022 Volkswagen Taos available for purchase! As with any new model, people generally have questions. How much does it cost? How big is it? Is it safe? And naturally:
How many mpg does the 2022 Volkswagen Taos get? Keep reading to find out.
EPA estimates for the 2022 Volkswagen Taos vary by drivetrain and transmission. Models with FWD and the eight-speed automatic are rated at 28-city/36-highway/31-combined mpg. Models equipped with 4Motion AWD and the seven-speed dual-clutch automatic are estimated at 25-city/32-highway/28-combined mpg.
The 2022 Taos is powered by a turbocharged 1.5L four-cylinder engine. It produces 158 horsepower and 184 lb-ft of torque. The engine is just a little bit bigger than the 1.4L one found in the Jetta and Golf, but it is even more fuel efficient. As stated above, the Taos is available in both FWD and AWD. Models equipped with FWD have an eight-speed automatic; models with 4Motion AWD have the seven-speed DSG. All 2022 Taos models have three-way Driving Mode Selection with Normal, Sport, and Individual modes. The Normal and Sport modes differ in steering, throttle response, and shifting responsiveness. Individual mode allows drivers to tailor their 2022 Taos to their preference.
