2021 Volkswagen Atlas Cargo and Safety Specs
The Atlas has always been a leader in the SUV market, specifically when it comes to cargo space. The vehicle is famous for having lots of room to store your stuff. But what are the exact measurements?
Today, we’ll be taking a look at how much cargo space the 2021 Atlas has. Spoiler alert: it’s a lot.
The 2021 Volkswagen Atlas has some of the highest cargo space numbers in the segment. With standard three-row of seating, the cargo bay is sectioned off into three different measurements. With all three rows upright, there’s 20.6 cu-ft of cargo space. When the third row is folded down, there’s 55.5 cu-ft of cargo space. With both rear rows folded down, there’s a whopping 96.8 cu-ft of cargo space. Most of the competitors struggle to match this, falling well short of the full capacity of the Atlas.
Having a lot of room to haul stuff around in doesn’t matter all that much if you can’t get to your destination safely. The 2021 Atlas has many safety and driver assistive features to help prevent accidents and minimize damage and injury from those that do happen. Standard features include forward collision warning with pedestrian detection and automatic emergency braking, blind spot monitoring with rear cross traffic alert, and a rearview camera. Other available features include front and rear parking sensors, hands-free parallel parking, lane keep assist, adaptive cruise control, traffic jam assist, a surround-view parking camera system, and automatic high beams.
