The new 2020 Volkswagen Jetta is arriving at dealerships all over the States. It’s a solid addition to the Volkswagen line-up. Is it worth your time, though? That’s a decision that only you can make, but if we think it is. It’s affordable, efficient, and practical. But should you get the 2020 Jetta over the 2019 or 2018 one? Again, that’s a decision only you can make. But we can definitely help you out.
Here are the new features on the 2020 VW Jetta.
The new 2020 Jetta comes in multiple trims. Five, to be exact. They differ in features and the like, but they all have the same heart: a 147-horspower 1.4-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine paired to a 6-speed manual or an 8-speed automatic. The S and R-Line trims come standard with the manual but have the 8-speed auto as an option; all other trims come standard with the automatic.
- S: $18,895
- SE: $22,645
- R-Line: $22,695
- SEL: $25,995
- SEL Premium: $27,945
Those looking for a few more ponies should look into the Jetta performance variant, the Jetta GLI line.
Arguably the biggest feature to be added for the 2020 Jetta is the 5-year complimentary inclusion of the relaunched Car-Net®, which allows you to control multiple remote features, check vehicle diagnostics, and more, all from your smartphone. The 2020 Jetta also includes a 4G LTE Wi-Fi hotspot, which is powered by a $20-per-month plan from Verizon, though other carriers are planned to be included in the future. The infotainment system is controlled with new 6.5-inch touchscreen. Multiple driver assistance features are also available, such as lane departure warning and lane-keep assist.
