Milwaukee Irish Week 2016
Tuesday, March 8 through Saturday, March 12
The Shamrock Club and Westown present Irish entertainment and culture the week before the parade. The celebration starts off with the Shamrock Club’s annual birthday party at the Irish Cultural and Heritage Center on March 3, with a concert by the Shamrock Club Color Guard Pipes and Drums. Starting March 8, there will be daily entertainment at the Shops of Grand Avenue, featuring local Irish bands and dance schools, as well as a press conference on March 11; the ShamROCK the Avenue at the Miller Time Pub in the Hilton Hotel Downtown on March 11; and Mass in Honor of St. Patrick, the parade and the post-parade party on Saturday.

One of the best St. Patrick’s Day parades in the country and certainly the grandest in Wisconsin steps off at 3rd Street and Wisconsin Avenue and finishes at Water Street and Highland Avenue.

The largest family day event of the season features lots of entertainment for all ages, food, drinks and more. Admission is $2 per person older than 12, or $10 per family.
Family Day in the Village at the Milwaukee Irish Fest Center

This event features family-friendly activities including crafts, a performance by Irish dancers, BOGO 2016 Milwaukee Irish Fest tickets, bodhran lessons, live Irish music by Tallymoore, an appearance by mascots Paddy and Molly McFest, tours of the Ward Irish Music Archives, demonstrations by the Milwaukee Hurling Club, plus food and beverages available for purchase. Admission is $5 per family.

St. Patrick’s Day Charity Event at County Clare Inn & Pub
6 a.m. to midnight Thursday, March 17

This event benefits Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin. A full Irish breakfast will be served from 6-10:30 a.m. The Rev. Jim Flaherty will read the Blessing of the Shamrock at 10 a.m. The rest of the day features food, music, dancing and door prizes.
Lucky Leprechaun 7K at Hart Park
