These 2020 Volkswagen Vehicles have Manual Transmissions

For the vast majority of people, automatic transmissions are the way to go. Automatics take care of everything for you, without you having to worry about stalling out or the like. However, there’s just something about a stick shift that can’t be beat. If you’re like us, then you love a good stick-shift.

But which Volkswagen vehicle have manual transmissions available?

2020 Volkswagen Models with Manual Transmissions

There are currently four different Volkswagen models with a six-speed manual transmission variant.

  • 2020 Golf
  • 2020 Golf GTI
  • 2020 Jetta
  • 2020 Jetta GLI

As the 2020 Golf R has not been released yet, we can’t say for certain if it will have a manual transmission variant. The 2019 Golf R did have a manual transmission variant, so if the 2020 Golf R does get released, it’s pretty safe to assume it will have one again.

2020 Golf Availability

The 2020 Golf has is only available in one trim: TSI. You’ll be happy to hear that it has a manual variant. The 2020 Golf TSI starts at $23,195.

2020 Golf GTI Availability

The 2020 Golf GTI is available in three trims, all of which come standard with a manual transmission or can be upgraded to a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic: the S starts at $28,595; the SE starts at $32,195; the Autobahn starts at $36,495.

2020 Jetta Availability

The 2020 Jetta has an available six-speed manual on two trims: the base model S, with an MSRP of $18,895, and the upper-tier R-Line, which starts at $22,695. The SE, SEL, and SEL Premium trims are only available with eight-speed automatic transmissions.

2020 Jetta GLI Availability

The performance-oriented 2020 Jetta GLI comes in two trims, both of which are available with either a six-speed manual or a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic. The base S trim starts at $26,345, while the Autobahn starts at $29,945.
