Comprehensive Safety Features
Safety first! Luckily, the 2020 Golf has you covered. It has an intelligent crash response system that automatically shuts off the fuel pump, unlocks the doors, and flips on the hazard lights if the airbags are deployed. There’s also a post-collision braking system that will apply brake pressure after a crash, mitigating chances of further damage or collisions. Other assistive features are available, like forward collision warning, blind-spot monitoring, and rear cross-traffic alert.
Stay Connected
The 2020 Golf has many features to keep you connected, such as Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility and a five-year complimentary Car-Net® 2.0 subscription. Newly revamped and relaunched, Car-Net® 2.0 lets you start your Golf, lock and unlock the doors, check its location, look at real-time diagnostics, and more, all from your smartphone. It also lets you check your driving habits (with the option to send reports to eligible insurance companies for possible discount opportunities) and set speed and location boundaries that, if exceeded, will notify you via your smartphone.
Performance Specs
The 2020 Golf is efficient. With a 1.4-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine that pumps out 147 horses and 184 lb-ft of torque and either a six-speed manual or eight-speed Tiptronic automatic, the Golf gets an EPA-estimated 28-city/36-hwy mpg. If you’re looking for a great balance between utility, efficiency, and performance, the 2020 Golf is perfect for you.
